目前國內外的純蒸汽發生器只能產出“飽和”純蒸汽，對于遠距離(如100m以上)的設備進行滅菌消毒時，由于蒸汽到達使用點時已產生了大量的凝結水，已不屬于純蒸汽了，而是飽和水和飽和蒸汽的混合流體，因此滅菌消毒效果較差，尤其是300米以上的遠距離工藝管道滅菌消毒，根本就達不到滅菌消毒的目的。
本產品配有“過熱”純蒸汽發生器，可產出“過熱”純蒸汽，對遠距離的設備進行滅菌消毒時，“過熱”純蒸汽在到達使用點之前，流動阻力和蒸汽管路散熱效應可消除“過熱”純蒸汽的“過熱度”，轉換成不含凝結水的“飽和”純蒸汽，因此對(150—1000m)遠距離的用汽點進行滅菌消毒，仍具有時間短、效果好的優點。對于遠距離設備滅菌消毒，應根據距離的增加適當提高純蒸汽的“過熱度”，以保證純蒸汽的“過熱度”保持的時間長一些，這樣也就保證了蒸汽到達使用點的純度。
